Douglas L. Jette passed away of natural causes at St. Patrick’s Hospital on May 1, 2017. He was born in Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada to Constance and Aldric on August 16, 1939. Douglas grew up in Missoula, graduated as valedictorian from Loyola High School in 1957 and worked as a carpenter, then ran his own window-and-door business. He was active in the community and in church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers, two sisters, and wife Nicky.
Doug deeply loved and is cherished by his and Dorothy’s nine children and their families; Nicky’s two children and their families; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and Deb Monson, his dedicated partner with whom he spent the last years of his life.
Living in the Potomac Valley, Doug and Deb enjoyed the mountains, their horses, and especially visits with family and friends. Doug always enjoyed outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, target shooting, camping and picnicking.
Doug had a wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed the smiles on family’s faces when he complimented their good looks, often over the phone.
