Dorothyann "Ginger" Littleton Schwarz, 89, of Missoula, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 24, 2014, in Missoula. She passed away in her sleep at Village Healthcare.
Ginger was born July 26, 1924, in Missoula, and was the only child of Milford Littleton and Estella Bryan Westaby. She was raised in Missoula and graduated from Missoula County High School. She attended the University of Montana and was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority. She was a loving mother who raised two boys, Bryan Bessire and Greg Schwarz. She worked for the University of Montana, where she enjoyed being office manager of the Montana Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit for Dr. John Craighead and Dr. Bart O. Gara. She loved working for them and assisting their graduate students until she retired.
Ginger was an active member of First Presbyterian Church. She was also active in many ladies Masonic organizations. She was a past queen of Sapphira Temple No. 79, Daughters of the Nile, and past worthy matron of Emanuel Chapter No. 54, Order of the Eastern Star in Missoula.
She is survived by one son, Greg Schwarz and his wife Sally of Spokane; and her four grandchildren, John Schwarz, Sheila Schwarz, Amy Bourgeua and Jennifer Bessire and their children.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 6, at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church
