Dorothy O'Neal Myers, 78, of Missoula, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Village Health Care of natural causes.
She was born on Jan. 18, 1939, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Irene and William O'Neal. In 1956 she was voted Miss Georgia Peach.
In 1957 she married G.C. Massey Jr. of Roswell, Georgia. Together having one son, G.C. Massey III. In 1963 she married Bobby L. Tompkins of Conway, South Carolina, together having one daughter, Julie Ann Tompkins.
She was an active member of Jehovah's Witness's since the age of 22.
She was an accomplished artist, having shows in several states over her career. She was also an avid gardener and cook, loving to entertain friends and introducing them to southern cuisine. Also an accomplished seamstress, she helped design and sew numerous costumes for many plays through her religious activities.
A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she nurtured many back to health in times of need.
Survivors include son Greg Massey, granddaughters Amber, Ashley, Tomi and grandson Raif, also numerous great-grandchildren and one younger sister Mary Francis Christian.
Cremation has already occurred with a memorial service to be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1115 S. Reserve St. Missoula, MT, 59801.
