Dorothy C. Hathaway

– Dorothy Carrie "Dot" Hathaway, 77, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, at the Missoula Village Health Care surrounded by family. Dot, the fourth of eight children, was born Dec. 28, 1938, in Ronan to Walter and Carnolia Redman.

On Oct. 5, 1956, Dot married Donald Claude Hathaway in Polson and recently celebrated their 59th anniversary. They have three children. In 1974 the family moved to Missoula, where Dot was a homemaker who enjoyed camping, bingo and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many.

Dot was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers and a grandson. She leaves behind her loving husband, Don; daughter Debbie Casaray; sons David (Carleen) and Don (Sally); sisters Ann Watson and Cletta (Terry) Pickens; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial for Dot will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at the LDS Church on Bancroft Street in Missoula.
