Donna Marie Smith

Donna Marie Smith, 80, of Missoula, passed away at St. Patrick Hospital on Saturday, April 12, 2014.

Donna was born March 1, 1934, in Townsend to Wallace H. Richtmyer and Gertrude Edna Rose Richtmyer. Donna and her family spent some time in Huntington Beach, Calif., during World War II. After a short time there, the family returned to Townsend. There Donna grew up with her brothers Wallace Richtmyer, Larry Richtmyer and Gary Richtmyer and sister Rita Hedberg.

After several moves, Jim and Donna ended up in Missoula, where she worked as a laundry supervisor at Hillside Manor for 25-plus years.

Donna enjoyed bowling, baseball, family outings and watching her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids play sports.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Plaster; son, John (Katie) Smith; grandchildren, Brandy LaVoie, Mark (Marie) Smith, Karrie (Tony Lerback) Plaster and Kayla (Joey) Johannson; great-grandchildren, Christopher LaVoie, Aeriel LaVoie, Colin Lerback, Brayden Young, Harley Lerback and Caleb Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and the family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to Hospice of Missoula. A celebration of Jim and Donna's life will be announced at a later date
