Donna Posio

DIXON - Donna J. Posio, 63, of Dixon, died of natural causes at her home on Thursday, January. 8, 2009.





She was born June 18, 1945, in Negaunee, Mich., to parents, Francis W. and Violet Davis. She was raised in Ishpeming, Mich., and graduated from high school there. Donna also attended Idaho State University as a nutritionist and worked as a nutritionist for many years.





Donna married Vernon Posio on June 30, 1962, in Ishpeming. She came to Alberton in 1986 and lived there for a short time before moving with her husband to Dixon in 1990, where she had lived ever since. Donna was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, Bible study, crosswords, Yahtzee, computer and especially her grandchildren. She was the treasurer at the Ravalli Community Church for many years.





Donna is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Vernon Posio of Dixon; her two sons, Tim (Teresa) Posio of Missoula and Terry (Elizabeth) Posio of Dixon; three brothers, Norman of Indiana, Arnold of Virginia and Butch Davis of Guinn, Mich.; three sisters, Sharon Ninnis of Ishpeming, Cathy Wilson of North Carolina and Patty Anderson of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Justin and Cody of Missoula, and Cody of Dixon; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Davis; and a sister, Norma Bess.





Memorial services are planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, January. 14, at the Ravalli Community Church. A reception will follow at the church.
