Donna Lee Jurgens, of Missoula, was born in Wolf Point on May 29, 1928, to Leslie and Edna Tull. She passed away peacefully at Riverside Health Care Center in Missoula on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Edna Boyer; her father, Leslie Tull; and her stepfather, Joseph Boyer. She was also preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Pearl Bell Lavoie of Frenchtown, who helped raise her.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Jack Gerald Jurgens; son, Adam (Larue) Jurgens of Missoula; daughters, Lonnie (Gary) Strait of Las Vegas, Connie (Robert) Williams of Ogden, Utah, and Jacqueline Jurgens of Missoula. She is also survived by her half-brother, Robert Tull; and half-sister, Dorothy McDermott of Oregon. Donna also leaves behind four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Donna attended grade school at the Old Desmet School and Grass Valley. She attended high school in Anaconda, where she met and married Jack Jurgens.
Donna loved gardening, camping, traveling and throwing wonderful Christmas parties. Donna and Jack traveled to several areas, settling briefly in Ogden and Las Vegas only to return to Montana, where their hearts always belonged.
An informal celebration of life with lunch provided by the family will begin at noon on Thursday, Sept. 19, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
