Donna Caras

Donna Caras, 60, passed away June 15th, 2018 to be with her beloved parents. Donna was born August 2, 1957 to Richard and Joyce Keniston of Missoula, MT. Donna attended Sentinel High School and graduated in 1974. Donna worked for many years as a waitress at Ruby’s Café, and then went on to work with Dennis Minemyer CPA for 28 years as an accountant until her passing. She enjoyed crunching numbers and working with all of her clients. Donna married Gregory Martinsen in 1977 and they were married for 19 years. It was in 1980 that her beautiful baby girl Jennifer was born, who was the love of her life. Donna married James Caras in 2006 and gained three sons and a daughter. Donna and Jim loved going to plays, Grizzly Football games and traveling together. Just a week before her passing they spent 14 days in Europe. Mom, Grandma and Auntie were some of her favorite titles. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She loved cooking and having a glass of wine with her friends and family. Donna always welcomed everyone into her home. She had a fantastic outlook on life, and had a quiet sincerity and a way of listening that made you know she understood. Her smile was contagious and her laugh was warm and musical. Her greatest loves were her daughter and grandchildren. Her love and support for everyone that she touched was immeasurable. She will be missed so greatly by everyone who knew her. She will never be forgotten, always in our hearts and loved forever.

Donna is survived by her husband, James Caras of Missoula, daughter Jennifer Taylor of Missoula, two grandchildren, Devin and Nadelie Taylor of Missoula, brother Gary Keniston and Mary Ingalls of Missoula, sister Julie Reid and Larry Reid of Kalispell, two nephews Taylor and Hope Reid of Billings, William and Samantha Reid of Kalispell, four step-children, Jamie and Paige Caras of Texas, Sean and Yuko Caras of Washington, Sam and Breanna Caras of Missoula, Jennifer and Doug Klapperich of Colorado and 7 step-grandchildren, James, Ashley, Grant, Sammy, Annie, Nicholas and Abigail. Donna was proceeded in death by her parents, Richard and Joyce Keniston.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to YWCA in her name. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 4th, 2018 at 1:00 pm, The Deck at The Depot. The family asks anyone attending to please wear their favorite Griz wear.
