MISSOULA - Dolores “Dee” Taylor, 77, of Missoula, passed away at her home Wednesday, January. 28, 2009.
She was born November. 3, 1931, in Missoula, the daughter of Angelina and John Piccinini.
She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in 1950. Dee married Howard E. Taylor March 10, 1951.
She owned Pancey’s Alley for eight years. Dee enjoyed her trips to local casinos, as well as Jackpot, Nev., and Worley, Idaho. Her friends and family will remember her as a great Italian cook and a grandmother who adored her grandchildren, Marshall and Murray. They called her their “Sweet Baboo”
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Her family includes her husband of 58 years, Howard of Missoula; son, John Taylor of Missoula; daughter, Gina Landon and her husband Tim of Kalispell; grandchildren, Marshall and Murray Taylor of Missoula; daughter-in-law, Melody Taylor of Missoula; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church with a reception to follow.
Cremation is under the care of Garden City Funeral Home.
The family suggests that memorials be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Dee’s family would also like to say a special thank you to Dr. Rochelle Wolfe and her nurse, Sherry, for their loving care of Dee.
