Diana Laureen Brown "went home to be with the Lord" on Jan. 2, 2014. She died suddenly and unexpectedly. She was 52 years old.
Diana was born Nov. 18, 1961, in Miles City but she would say her real birthday was Nov. 11, 1981, when she was baptized into Christ at the Church of Christ. She lived her life with an unparalleled and contagious joy that permeated the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy is love. She loved so fully and freely to all those around her.
Diana married the love of her life, Braxton Brown, on Aug. 2, 1980. Their relationship began when she asked Braxton on their first date to the Sadie Hawkin's Dance at Hellgate High School, and there began a love that multiplied in the lives of their three children, Braxton, Brenton and Briana. Their 33-year marriage is a testimony of true love and devotion. Diana's unconditional love was beyond compare and a better mother has never lived.
Diana's love and selflessness as a wife and mother was only outdone when she became a grandmother. Her gorgeous smile and unmistakable laugh will be missed most by her six grandchildren, Champ, Hayli, Barrett, Oakleigh, Braxton and Annabel.
Diana was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan; her father, Clifford; and her brother, Todd.
She is survived by her husband, children and grandchildren; along with her mother, Georgene; her father, Art; sisters, Sheila and Rhonda; and her brother, Shawn.
"And let her works praise her in the gates," Proverbs 31.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, at Easthaven Baptist Church in Kalispell, with a reception following at the Kalispell Church of Christ.
