Dennis Serviss

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dennis Ray Serviss on December 24th, 2024 in his home. He was born March 5th, 1948 to Mathius H. Serviss and Edith May Serviss. His whole life was lived in Missoula. On June 21st, 1969 he married his high school sweetheart Judith Kay Allen. They had two children: Matthew Shawn Serviss and Kendra Elizabeth Root (Serviss). After Judith’s passing, he eloped with Carol May (Pretty Lady) Moody in September of 2000.

Dennis worked at Van Evans Plywood for a very short period-of-time, but had worked for Vann’s in Missoula as a television repair technician until he had retired. He enjoyed his family and friends as well as being outdoors, his lovely yard, and taking excursions. He was especially fond of his long-time daily coffee time with Jim Berthoud. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, his wives both Judith and Carol, his brothers Stanley Allen Serviss and Bruce Duane Serviss, his sister Patricia Vann, and his son Matthew Shawn Serviss.

Dennis is survived by siblings Renee (Serviss) Touchette, Doug Touchette and Teddy Lambson as well as his daughter Kendra Elizabeth Root. Other surviving step children include: Timothy Scott Root, William James Moody, Suzanne Donahue Moody, Thomas Ward Moody, and Augusta Lee Loomis. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Alexandra Elizabeth Root, Mackenzie Kay Root, William Theodore Moody, and Thomas James Moody.

His life has touched many, and he will live on in loving memories.
