Delmer Dean Zuehlsdorf, 71, of Florence, passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at his home in Florence of natural causes.
He was born on April 24, 1942, in Sidney to Alfred A. and Elsie A. (Buechle) Zuehlsdorf. He graduated from Sentinel High School and also attend some postsecondary schooling. He enrolled in the U.S. Navy in 1960-1964.
On Dec. 31, 1965, he married Sharon Rose Swenson of Miles City.
He loved hunting, camping, fishing, skiing, leatherwork, woodwork, reading, music, art and belonged to the Back Country Horseman Club. Learning to fly a plane became a passion.
He loved the LORD, his family and friends and would give you the shirt off his back if needed. His motto was "work hard, play hard."
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Alfred and Elsie Zuehlsdorf, as well as his first wife, Sharon Zuehlsdorf.
Survivors include his daughters, Vicky L. (Richard) Christensen; and grandchildren, Haley and Patrick, Tammy K. (Luis) Hall and Kayla, Kristin and Kyle. He also has two stepdaughters, Monica J. Shoupe, and her children Jordan and Raegan; and Debra Solberg, and her children Rylie and Faith.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at Cornerstone Ministries in Lolo with Pastor Mark Partridge officiating.
Honorary pallbearers are Luis Hall, Richard Christensen, Kyle Hall, Patrick Christensen, Jeff Wilson and Gordon Wilson.
