Delena Kathleen Bishop, daughter of Raymond and Virginia (Koch) Edden, was born February 17, 1949 in Missoula. As a young child the family moved to California. Dee graduated from Dos Palos High School in 1967. She met the love of her life, Ronald Bishop, Sr. in Firebaugh, California and the couple was united in marriage on September 28, 1968. Three children were born to this union.
Dee worked outside the home at various businesses but her most proud job was being a mother to her three children. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing softball, and playing cards in her free time. She was a talented seamstress and patched the children’s clothes throughout their lives. Later in life, she enjoyed being on the computer and recently became a fantasy football fan, winning the championship last year over her son, Randell. Above all else, she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family and friends. Dee was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ronald Bishop, Sr.; children, Ronald Bishop, Jr.; Randell (Janie) Bishop; RayAnne (Adam) Greenough; three grandsons, Blake (Haley) Bishop; Brayden Bishop; Dane Greenough; three granddaughters, Jazzlynn Bishop; Jetta Bishop; Abby Greenough; siblings, Jo Ann McCurdy; Ray (Nancy) Edden; Vell (Nick) Nichols; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Virginia Edden and brother-in-law, Ron McCurdy.
