Deirdre Anne White
Deirdre Anne (Dede) White, of Missoula, went to be with her Lord the morning of June 18th, 2022, after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on August 6, 1945, to Clarence and Rosemary Lilly, in San Antonio, Texas. The oldest of three children, and being a military family, she grew up in in several different states and European locales.
After graduation from High School in Germany and returning to the states, she met and married Randle White in Phoenix, AZ, in 1973. They moved to Missoula, Randle’s hometown, and enjoyed forty-nine years of love and companionship together.
Dede was an avid quilter and worked in local quilt shops for many years. She frequently volunteered her time for various activities at St. Francis Xavier Church. She enjoyed time with her children, gardening, reading, sailing trips with Randle, ranch life and the horses. Dede may not have been a Montana native, but she was a Montanan thru and thru.
She is survived by her husband, Randle, three children, DeAnne (Bill) Hammond, Frank (Amie) Gaudioso, Matthew (Erinn) White, sister Michelle (Raymond) McRae, and brother Kevin (Charlene) Lilly. She also leaves five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held will be held at St Francis Xavier Church on June 27, 2022, at 10:30 AM.
A reception will follow at Garden City Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation to the Missoula Food Bank (missoulafoodbank.org) or St. Francis Xavier Parish (sfxmissoula.org).
