Dee Lane Mahoney passed away March 16, 2016 in her home surrounded by her family. Dee was born July 24, 1935 to Merle and Georgia Ziegler in Kemmerer, Wy. She had fond memories of her childhood with her Grandmother Tanner in Kemmerer.
She was an accomplished seamstress, and used her talent to support her family for many years. In the 1980's, she went to work as a secretary at Thiokol in the Toll Inspection Division where they made parts for the Peacekeeper, Minuteman Missile and Space Shuttle Booster.
Dee married John Lavern Mahoney on December 31, 1989 and together they made their home in the Swan River Valley, Montana, She loved the picturesque scenery and the variety of wildlife.
Dee's hobbies were sewing, needlework, canning, genealogy and crafting beautiful quilts.
She is survived by her husband John Mahoney, sons Jeff (Claudia)Nostrom and Steve (Barbara) Nostrom, and twelve grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, Stepchildren Glenda (Earl) Lace and Jim (Renee) Mahoney, two step-grandchildren, and three great grandchildren and their siblings Robert, Warren, Shirley, Charles, and Lucy. Dee was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Amanda and step grandson DeLon.
A celebration of Dee's life will take place on July 24, 2016 in Condon, Montana.
