Memorial service for Debby Ramsey, 68, a resident of Missoula will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27th, 2013 at Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 100 Foss Court, Missoula, Montana.
Mrs. Ramsey passed away on Sunday, April 21st, in a vehicle accident near mile marker 35 on U.S. Highway 93 North, also claiming the life of her mother, Mary Virginia Smith, 91. Debby Ramsey was born April 13, 1945 in National City, California the daughter of Herbert and Mary Virginia Smith. She was united in marriage to James W. Ramsey on June 10, 1967 in San Diego, California. They were married for 45 blissful years.
Debby received her Bachelor of Arts degree in home economics with a minor in music from San Diego State University in 1967. She worked as a professional piano instructor in Missoula for over 35 years.
Mrs. Ramsey was a member of the Calvary Community Church of Missoula, where her husband, Jim Ramsey served as pastor. She was very active in the church as pianist and often performed offertory solos.
Mrs. Ramsey was especially distinguished by her love for Christ, passion for cooking, gardening, decorating and classical music. Uniquely gifted in music pedagogy, her piano students have successfully completed music degrees in colleges throughout the nation. But most of all, Debby loved people. And if you were fortunate enough to know her, rest assured - she loved you too.
She is survived by her two children and spouses; Jim (Kim) Ramsey Jr, Missoula, MT, Keith (Mary) Ramsey, Indianapolis, IN; four loving grandchildren, Aiden, Alex, David and Amber; two sisters, Melony Bergen, Denver, CO. Becky Bulette, Elmo, MT.; one brother, Herbert L. Smith Jr., San Diego, CA.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her father, Herbert L. Smith, in 2010.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Youth for Christ, of City Life Center, 1515 Fairview, Suite 210, Missoula, MT.
