Debora J. Schmardebeck

– Debora J. Schmardebeck, 50, of Missoula, passed away at her home Tuesday, July 22, 2014, after a devastating battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born June 30, 1964, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Glenn and Ann Wickham. On March 19, 1982, she married Stan Schmardebeck. The couple moved to Missoula in 1989.

To her, the most important thing in life was her family. She spent all of her time taking care of everyone else around her, which remained unchanged even after her diagnosis. In the days before her passing, she was more concerned about making sure everyone else would be OK.

Many people in the community came to know her through her job with State Farm Insurance. She was always willing to stop and assist customers as they walked in the door. She was an incredibly caring and thoughtful person. Debbi loved to camp, hunt, fish and go four-wheeling with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Stan; her parents, Glenn and Ann; her siblings, Bobbi, Vicki and Justin; her son, Cory; her daughter, Nicki; and her grandson, Brennon.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Garden City Funeral Home.
