Dee Peterson

Deanna (Dee) Peterson died in her home Sunday, October 29, from long-standing health issues. Dee was born in 1942 in Missoula to June and Peyton Moncure. She is survived by three sisters, Pat, Victoria and Joan. She married Gary Gray in 1961 and although this marriage did not last, their union produced three beautiful children, Scott, Shawn and Eric.

In 1973 she married the true love of her life, Warren (Pete) Peterson. Through this marriage, Dee was blessed with two stepsons, Tony and Mark.

Dee was at her happiest when she and Pete moved into the country. Together they raised chickens, geese and sheep along with a few dogs and cats. A true animal-lover, Dee delighted in seeing the many species of birds, deer and the occasional bear that wandered into their yard. Having a garden and taking care of the tress and flowers they planted was another source of joy for her.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents, her son Eric and stepson Tony and her beloved husband Pete.

At her request, no services were held.
