David Christ Tollefsrud passed away peacefully on October 20th,2021 at Providence St. Patrick Hospital following a battle with kidney disease.
He was the first of two sons born to Henry and Ruth Tollefsrud on October 7th 1946 in Grand Forks, North Dakota. While living there, he started a family. As a young man, he received an honorable discharge from the Army. He was a Vietnam era Veteran.
He worked as a cab driver in Grand Forks. Then moved to the Bitterroot valley and took a job driving bus for the Victor and Stevensville schools. He spent many more years serving in his church in Hamilton as a Royal Rangers leader. Then he served the homeless and as a leader in the Celebrate Recovery Program in his church in Missoula.
David was preceded in death by an infant son and both his parents. He leaves behind his younger brother Paul, his wife Edith, his son Matthew and wife Amy; his daughter Christine and husband Mark, and their son Joshua; and his daughter Vicki.
A graveside service will be held for friends and family in Missoula at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, on November 15th at 11a.m.
