David Thomas Ricci passed peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2016, surrounded by family in his Hot Springs home. He was born on the Jan. 20, 1968, to Daniel "Bucko" and Margaret (Haugen) Ricci. David was baptized and later confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in Anaconda. He attended Anaconda public schools, where he nurtured a host of talents and skills. His athleticism became more apparent as he excelled in track and cross country.
It was at the University of Montana's music program that David met Trina Biesheuvel. They later married and moved to Butte, where in 1996 his daughter Samantha Grace Ricci was born. They continued to maintain a close friendship while parenting their daughter. David earned his Music Performance degree after he and Samantha moved to Missoula. After graduating and returning to Anaconda, he met Kimberly Sovine. They were married in 2007 in Missoula, then settled in Hot Springs to continue and build on their loving, fiercely strong relationship. David and Kimberly became loving grandparents to Derrick James Sovine in 2010. David was best known for his talent and passion for music, through which he met a host of loving friends and flexed the freedom he felt when performing for and with an audience of any size. It is this music that will continue to resonate with everyone who knew him.
