David Lee Jacobson, 83, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at Hillside Manor from natural causes.
He was born Nov. 14, 1930, in Billings to parents Reuben and Rose Jacobson. He moved to Hamilton in 1942 where he graduated high school in 1950.
In 1950, he joined the Air Force. During that time he met and married Peggy Bird and was married to her for 32 years and had three children, Kathryn Rose, Donald David and Thomas Lee.
For many years he worked in sawmills, plywood plants and fished commercially for salmon in Oregon on a boat he had built himself.
He was an avid big game hunter, loved to fly fish and later became addicted to trap shooting, in which he had won many events.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Russell Jacobson and wife Marcie.
He is survived by brother Robert (Jean) of Boise, Idaho; sister Marylin (Bob) Easter; wife Mary; daughter Kathryn Jacobson (Carl Sivage) of Missoula; sons Donald (Sioux) of Butte and Thomas (Cathie) of Missoula; eight granchildren and several great-grandchildren.
