DAVID PAUL EVANS
Age 61
David, loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend passed away on March 29, 2014.
Dave was born on April 30, 1952 to Dick and Patsy Evans and was raised in Townsend, Montana where he graduated from Broadwater County High School.
As a young boy, David spent many hours helping his grandfather and father at the local bowling alley. He started out as a pin setter and score keeper and bowled every chance he could. Dave became an avid bowler and is well known around the bowling community throughout the state. He managed Liberty Lanes in Missoula for several years and his many accomplishments include six 300 games and two 800 series.
David lived in many areas throughout Montana and Wyoming before finally settling in Missoula in 1989. As destiny would have it, he met the love of his life, Debbie Langley, after joining a local bowling league. Dave and Debbie were married on April 1, 1995. With a kiss to seal their marriage, David became a husband, father, and grandfather. He was never happier.
Dave enjoyed bowling, golfing, spending time outdoors, and traveling with his family and friends. He took great pride in his home and yard. He was also a true and loyal fan of the Montana Grizzlies where he spent many weekends with his group of closest friends cheering them on.
David will be remembered for his quick wit, outgoing personality, and his ability to befriend everyone he met. There was never an event or function that Dave attended in which laughter did not prevail. He did not want to be mourned, but celebrated with family and friends sharing in memories and laughter.
A celebration of life will be held at Linda Vista Golf Course, 4915 Miller Creek Road, at 4pm on Thursday, April 3, 2014.
David was preceded in death by his father and mother, Dick and Patsy Evans, and grandparents.
David is survived by his wife, Debbie, and her two children; Mike (Amy) Langley of Cheyenne, and Tina (Troy) Hanninen of Missoula, Dave's other "daughter" Chella (James) Markovich of Phoenix, his Brother Tim (Nicki) Evans of Missoula and sister Kathy (Roger) Staley of Butte, nine grandchildren: Angelina (AJ) and Alyssa Hanninen, Tre, Tia, Ty, Trystn and Taytn Langley, Ayden and Asher Markovich, and six nieces: Lynsey, Kalee, Kegan Evans and Jamie, Whitney and Holly Staley.
