Darriel Gene Startin

Darriel Gene Startin, 38, passed away Dec 29, 2013 at St Patrick Hospital.
Darriel was born September 9, 1975, in Missoula, Montana, to Barbara Muson. He was raised and loved by his grandparents, Roberta and Kenneth on the Northside . He graduated from Hellgate High and continued his education at the U of M.
He put school on hold to work full time at the Heidelhaus as the salad bar coordinator. He made that the best salad bar to date, hands down. His boss quickly recognized his work ethic and reliability, and promoted him to bartending . He transitioned to a different job at the Claim Jumper where he held the title as the floor manager. His last place of work resided at Boomers where he met many great people and established new friends. Dedicating his days to success, he would always show up early and leave late and did not complain once. He had many friends at the bar because he met everyone's needs. No matter who, his shoulder was there to lean on for whatever reason. "Mind over Matter" a favorite phrase and motto. There wasn't a trivia question he couldn't answer, no problem without a solution or a crossword unfinished. His witty personality along with genuine smile is the Darriel we all knew. He is gone to be with Kenneth and Roberta who recently passed. He is survived by his mother Barbara, his brother Tyler and his wife in Utah, his Aunt and Uncles of Missoula and extended family and friends.
A celebration of Dariel's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 11th, 2014 at the Press Box.
