Darcy Peterson 57, from Missoula, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013. He was raised in Harlowton and graduated from high school there. He was employed by Milwaukee Railroad and was eventually transferred to Superior in 1975, where he made his home. At a young age he taught himself to play drums, and music became a passion for him, leading to his involvement in many bands, including the locally famous Texas Tom and the Cow Pies. He was known for his knack of making friends and was always the entertainer. At the time of his death he was employed by Salvation Army. In his later years he acknowledged the spiritual part of himself and was on a path to a more peaceful life with plans for the future.
He had a good heart and loved all his children. Darcy leaves behind a daughter, Nicole Goes; two sons, Nathan Peterson, granddaughter London, and Tony Peterson as well as a stepson Michael Colvin and stepdaughter Sara Lindquist; brother Alan and niece and nephew, as well as extended family and friends.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15 at the Salvation Army on Broadway in Missoula Montana
