Danny William Lake, 68, of Frenchtown Montana, passed away on August 6th, 2021, of a tragic accident.
Dan was born on September 18th, 1952, to Orral and Dolores Lake.
During Dan’s younger years he spent a lot of his time with his horse Ginger.
He spent his high school years in Frenchtown, where he enjoyed playing basketball, football and track.
After graduating high school in Frenchtown in 1972, Dan worked a variety of jobs including mechanic, welder and truck driver.
He eventually settled in Montana Rail Link as a truckdriver where he enjoyed a long and successful career until he retired in 2017.
Dan enjoyed the outdoors, whether he was hunting, chopping wood, plowing snow, or hunting gophers, he always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed getting out there with his sons every opportunity he could.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Amy, whom he married on August 9th, 1980. Dan has two sons, Brian (Kim and Grandchildren, Madison and Hunter) of Marsden, Saskathchewan, Canada, Eric (Samantha) of Kalispell, by his Mother Dolores Lake of Missoula, his Sister Kathy (Ken) Williams of Missoula, his brother Allen (Diane) of Missoula, and his brother Ken (Bonnie) of Winston Salem, North Carolina.
Dan will always be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, and his tremendous generosity, as well as the undeniable strength that he had through his faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that sustained him throughout his life.
Dan’s memory will be cherished by those who loved him and look forward to reuniting with him in Heaven.
