Clarabelle Higgins

Clarabelle Higgins passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at the age of 84. She was born to Hubert and Eva Lutz of Shelby on April 8, 1931.

Clara graduated from Shelby in 1949. She married Louis G. Higgins and moved to Missoula in 1962. Clara had six children, Michael, Bill, Kelly, David, Daniel and Amy.

Clara was known for the love she showed her children and also for her kind heart and witty sense of humor. She was truly one of a kind. Clara enjoyed going to Lake Mary Ronan and Glacier Park with her family. She was an amazing cook. She always made it more of a feast than a meal. Her saying was, "I could have five or 25 for dinner, you just never now"; and "the more, the merrier." Clara had true talent when it came to quilting.

During her free time, you could find her doing her daily crossword puzzle or watching Jeopardy. Clara loved her family and was best at being there for them in every way.

God bless her, for there is no other who can take the place of our dear mother.
