Christopher Swartz

MISSOULA - Christopher Mark Swartz passed away of natural causes Monday, December. 29, 2008, at his home in Missoula. He was 29 years old.





Chris was born November. 8, 1979, in Missoula to Douglas and Mary Swartz. He attended Hawthorne Elementary, Target Range School and Big Sky High School. He enjoyed folfing, fishing, hiking and his time spent outdoors with his family and friends. Chris was employed at Century Gaming as a service technician at the time of his death, a job that he truly enjoyed.





He is survived by his father and stepmother, Doug and Jane Swartz; mother and stepfather, Mary and Rick Malone; sisters, Jennifer Sharkey and her husband TJ and Heather Swartz and her daughter Mariah; grandparents, Della Swartz and Gene and Thelma Maun. Aunts and uncles include Craig Swartz, Leonard “Gary” and Holly Swartz, Penny and Bill Franks, Clark, John, Pat and Rose Maun; and his extended family Rhonda Maun, Gary Howard, Bill Maun and many cousins.





A kind and gentle person, Chris will be missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.





Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January. 4, at Garden City Funeral Home with a reception following.





The family suggests memorials to the Montana Diabetes Association or the Missoula Food Bank.
