Charles Edward Ellis of Missoula, Montana died unexpectedly on Monday June 27, 2022. He is survived by his wife Heather Handeland, his parents Patricia and Lewis, his sister Adrienne (Ellis) Edwards, his nephew Alexander Edwards, his niece Grace Avery Edwards as well as his many friends from Memphis and Montana.
He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on December 4, 1973, graduated from Christian Brothers High school in 1992 and received both a B.S. Degree in Psychology as well as a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Montana. At the time of his death, he was a licensed Pharmacist at the 406 Clinical Pharmacy in Missoula.
Charles loved the outdoor lifestyle that Montana offered from skiing in the winter to float trips in the summer and spent many days hiking and backcountry backpacking in the wilderness areas of western Montana and Idaho with his friends. The only other thing that was as important as taking care of friends and family was attending live music. He traveled near and far both with friends and alone to see a band or show and the one thing he was often heard to say when traveling with friends was “there is just one more stop we need to make or one more place we need to go”. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him and there will be a memorial remembrance of his life later this year in Montana.
