Catherine met her future husband, Bill Everingham, at a dance in Klamath Falls, Ore., while he was in the service. They married in 1946 and soon settled in Missoula. There they had three children, Bill, Mark and David. While she raised her three boys, Catherine worked at the University of Montana Nursery School.
Catherine was involved in a variety of community groups including League of Women Voters and the Progressive Club, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Along with being an amazing wife and mother and raising her own children, she enjoyed gardening, skiing, sailing, hiking and long walks with her friends.
