Carolyn Florene Roach Albert was born in Hot Springs, South Dakota. She resided in Missoula Montana the last 11 years of her life. She was preceded in death by her soulmate and husband, Harold albert. Her beloved parents deceased were John and Florence Roach. She had five siblings, Dennis Roach (Deceased), Mike Roach (Helena, MT), Sister Jo Alstott (Hermiston, OR), and Bill Roch (Canada). Carolyn had four children, Chris Cravens (Pasco, WA), Max Tucker (Kenewick, WA), Julie Tucker (West Richland, WA), and Tracy Johnson (MIssoula, MT). She had 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. She leaves behind many cousins, sisters in law and brothers in law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
We lost our beloved mother to eternal paradise on May 12th, mothers day, with the aurora lights lighting her path to heaven. She fought the great fight and victory was hers as she entered the heavenly's of saints and ancestry of family and friends and her lord and savior and beloved mother Mary. She walked her race daily in nature with God and the beauty of Montana, it was her heaven on earth, and how she envisioned paradise. She had a huge family tree in her 95 years of living. Her body grew weary but her fighting tenacious spirit and grit, she never lost faith or trust in her long goodbye. Her faith in prayers carried and sustained her and her loved ones all of her life. She had an “I Love Lucy” sense of humor and wit, which got her through the hard times with God throughout her life. She was witty but had a very deep introspection, that depth required a deep faith and trust to discern love and acceptance to pray for all mankind and her family. She knew things others did not know, that was her calling. She has been the deep roots in her family’s tree of life, her lineage and heritage was very important to her. She was adventurous; she traveled the USA with Harry in their camper for 25 years. She was very patriotic.
Her and Harry built their dream log cabin home with their bare hands, no help from anyone. She was 61 and Harry was 63 at the time, she loved to craft, create quilts, she sewed babies baptismal gowns and embroidered them for her church. She loved puzzles and coloring and read hundreds of books. She loved dancing and music, her Katy dog, and her cat Scamp. She knew the Lord blessed her with a long life with good health and a sharp mind, to finish her race of continual prayer for her family tree and mankind. She lived forgiveness and acceptance in action, she was a devout catholic, mom, sister, grandma, aunt, and friend.
She had few regrets. She accepted life, family, friends, on life’s terms. The greatest gift she gave us children was life, and sending us to church and she gave us a hard work ethic. She said her greatest gifts are her four children that knew and served the lord, and that she knew that one day she would all see us in heaven again. She passed with humor, strength, courage, and dignity. Many lessons were learned, the greatest gifts she gave us kids was the freedom to be ourselves and she accepted us as we were. We salute her life with thanksgiving and her heritage, her roots, and her faithfulness, and her prayer life. Her zest for life for all to learn from, is that life is very fragile and precious. Time is fleeting, make it matter.
She thanks God, Mary, her family and friends, who were on this journey of her life. It was a hard, rich, and full one she was blessed with. Her last words were “walk in forgiveness, be true to yourself, and always pray for others. We don’t say goodbye, we say we will see you soon”
Mom always said “When you see a white horse or a rainbow, think of me”
