At the age of 92, Camilla left this world on February 3, 2018, to be with her Lord and family members she has missed so much.
A lifelong resident of Missoula, Camilla was born at St .Patrick Hospital on May 10, 1925, to Benedetto and Carminella Cutone Martello, she was the fourth child in a large Italian family of eleven children.
Camilla attended St. Francis grade school and Sacred Heart Academy. She was employed by two of the best family owned hardware stores in Missoula, Barthel Hardware and Kramis Hardware.
She was a walker and we’re sure she covered about every inch of downtown Missoula, probably enough times to get her around the world! She was a devoted member of St. Francis Parish and walked to mass every morning.
Camilla was preceded in death by her parents, brother Domenic, sisters Anna Martello, Dorothy Carraher, Fonsie Hohman and Rose Monaco. She is survived by sisters MaryAnn Martello and Philomena Martello, brothers Eddie (Valrie), Guido and Tony Martello. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Camilla is also survived by her Country Home Estates family. From the time she moved in, she was surrounded by wonderful people who lovingly cared for her and made her part of their family, especially her favorite guy Karel.
Visitation and Holy Rosary will be Thursday, February 8 at 4:00pm at Garden City Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, February 9 at 10:30am at St Francis Xavier Church. A luncheon reception will take place immediately following the funeral at Reidy Hall. Graveside services will follow the luncheon at St. Mary’s Cemetery Annex.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Country Home Estates at 1704 South Reserve Street, Missoula, Missoula Catholic Schools Foundation at 300 Edith Street, Missoula, or a charity of the donor’s choice in Camilla’s name.
