Bruce Allen Conley

Bruce Allen Conley, 58, passed away in a house fire on March 13, 2018 at his home in Cascade, Montana. He was born in Ladysmith, Wisconsin on January 7, 1960.

Bruce grew up in Cornell, Wisconsin and graduated from Cornell High School in 1978. He attended the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point and earned a bachelor's degree in business.

He was the kind of guy who thought the sky was the limit and he had big dreams. He thought anything was possible. Through courage and determination, he accomplished many of his goals.

Early in his adult life, Bruce lived in Florida and learned how to scuba dive in the Florida Keys. He then moved to Minnesota, where he worked as a successful manager, loan officer and investor, while raising ostriches on his land in Scandia MN. Along the way, he became a small aircraft pilot.

Throughout his life he enjoyed hunting and he hunted all over the world, including expeditions to New Zealand and Africa. In later life, he became a full time resident of Montana and established a hunting camp in the foothills south of Great Falls.

Bruce is survived by his father Jon, New Richmond, WI; mother Alice (Roger) Beffa, Birchwood, WI; sister Lynne Conley (Craig Collins), Minneapolis, MN; brother Jeff, Ellsworth, WI; lifelong friends David and Carol Hakes and family, Cornell, WI; former wife Lynnette Conley, Minneapolis MN; and Tootie his chocolate lab. Bruce was preceded in death by his brother Gregory.

Monetary gifts will be directed to the Bruce A Conley Memorial Scholarship Fund, a $1000 scholarship offered annually to a Cornell High School senior. This scholarship will be awarded starting this year. Gifts can be sent to any of the family and friends listed below.
