Bonnie Jean Pepe, 85 of Missoula, passed away at her home on Saturday, Dec. 21 2024.
Bonnie was born and raised in Missoula MT. She lived most of her adult life in Fresno CA where she raised a family and created a successful business. She returned to Missoula in her retirement years and enjoyed the second chapter of her life.
Bonnie was one of the best people we ever knew. A loving and devoted wife, a wonderful mother to more than just her three girls, the best cook we know, hands-down, and now a beautiful angel. She made us laugh, and for sure always had our back no matter the task or consequence. Bonnie always put her family first and always made sure we felt better if we were down or dance with us when we were up. Nothing we could ever say would explain how much she has done for us and how much she helped us grow as individuals. A woman to be proud of and a woman that along with her husband built a life and a family to be proud of. We are so grateful, so so grateful and happy to have been a part of that life.
Bonnie was also an accomplished business person who for 27 years was a real estate broker/agent in Fresno CA. She was one of the best in the field. She garnered the respect and admiration of both her clients and her colleagues. Some of those clients became lifelong friends and she cherished them.
Upon retirement she and her husband moved back to Missoula MT where they started a new adventure. Bonnie created a beautiful home and became an avid gardener. People would stop and admire the beautiful yard she designed with vibrant colors and interesting flowers and plants. She loved to share it with others. She also embraced her love of the mountains and outdoors. She loved walks along the Clark Fork River or along the Rattlesnake Creek. She would stop along the way and enjoy the wildlife and the native plants and trees. She would soak up the beauty of the surroundings.
As much as we will miss her, we are happy that she is now at peace with Joe, her mother, and the rest who went before her. She will forever live in our hearts. She is the good part of us, the soft side, the better side. She will truly be missed and always remembered.
She is survived by three daughters, Terri Thomason, Julie Rogers and Gina Catalano and her loving grandson Nicholas Thomason. Her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Bedard and family. Brother-in-law in Jonh Pepe (wife) Dixie, Aunt Shirley Mancini and family. Cousin Roseann Erickson and family. Also, her cherished friends.
She is predeceased by her husband Joe Pepe, her mother Edna Lewandowski, her father Claire Storm and other loving family members.
We would like to thank her home health companions and hospice for the wonderful care they gave her. She requested not to have a service but to remember her with memories and laugher.
