Bonnie Johnson

April 8, 1949 — January 14, 2025

Missoula

Bonnie Johnson, a beacon of love and resilience, was born on April 8, 1949, in the town of Moscow, Idaho. She passed away on January 14, 2025, in Turah, Montana, with her beloved husband and daughter at her side, taking her final breaths surrounded by the warmth of family.

From the very beginning, Bonnie’s mission in life was abundantly clear: to nurture and raise a daughter who would be cherished and respected by all. Through her unwavering love, tireless efforts, and boundless sacrifices, she achieved this remarkable goal. Bonnie's daughter, Kelli, radiates the love and values instilled in her by her mother, reflecting the deep connection they shared.

A passionate birdwatcher at heart, Bonnie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Each day, she would settle into her favorite spot, gazing out her window at the vibrant wildlife that graced her yard. Her sanctuary, lovingly crafted by her and her husband Bob, became a haven filled with birdseed, squirrel food, and deer treats, allowing her to immerse herself in nature’s splendor. This beautiful retreat was not just a physical space, but a representation of her nurturing spirit, as she created an inviting environment that welcomed creatures great and small. Bonnie was always generous with her money, helping grandchildren with their school and vehicles as well as donating to the food bank and her church. Another, recipient of her unconditional love and spoiling was their toy poodle, Bingo, who was treated like another child of the family.

Bonnie is survived by her devoted husband, Bob, her loving sister Patti Richards, and her two brothers, Rick Johnson and Kerry Johnson. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, Emily, Tessa, and Aidan, who were a constant source of joy and pride. The love she imparted to them will forever echo in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Janice Johnson, her father, Kerry Johnson, and her sister, Corrine Jorgensen. Their memories live on through the stories and experiences shared by Bonnie's family, a testament to the love that was woven through every thread of her life.

As we remember Bonnie Johnson, we celebrate not only her life but the profound impact she made on those around her. Her legacy of love, commitment, and connection will forever inspire and guide her family and friends, reminding us all of the deep bonds that hold us together in this journey of life.
