Bonnie Drew was born on March 26, 1940, in Missoula, to Charles (Ty) and Bernice (Barney) Jacobson. After moving to Idaho and Washington, she returned to Montana and was able to settle in Bonner with her dad and his wife, Sophie. She attended school in Bonner and graduated from Sentinel High School in 1959.
Bonnie married William (Bill) Drew on September 19, 1959, at the first United Methodist Church in Missoula. They lived in Missoula until 1986 when they moved into their dream house, a log home up Lolo Creek. In 1989 Bill and Bonnie moved to Kalispell due to Bill's job with the Burlington Northern Railroad. They returned to Lolo upon Bill's retirement in 1997.
Bonnie fondly remembered working at Woolworth's Drug Store in downtown Missoula, serving hot lunches to the students at Paxson Elementary and working at KG Men's Store when the Southgate Mall first opened.
She enjoyed sewing, crafting, crocheting, boating, adventuring and tag-along-hunting with Bill. Her love for everyone, especially babies and children, shined through every smile, hug, gift, hand-written letter and phone call.
Bonnie will be greatly missed by her husband of 64 years, Bill; three children and their families; Allan (Chris) Drew of Havre, Carol (Tim) Kruse of California, and Don (Julie) Drew of Missoula; her four Brothers, two sisters, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Cynthia Vey Pearce Russell.
