Billy "Bill" Dean Hall 74, longtime resident of Missoula passed away on Thursday, February19, 2015 following a very short illness at St. Patrick's Hospital. Bill was born in Charlo on May 9, 1940, the son of Noah "Bud" and Beatrice Hall. He was raised on a family farm in Charlo and graduated from Charlo High School in 1958. He moved to Missoula where he met and married the love of his life Georgia Jeanne Taylor on November 19, 1961. In 2013, Bill and Jeanne celebrated 52 years of marriage. Bill started his life in the National Guard, and later came to work as a truck driver for Rangitch Brothers hauling trailer houses. He later went to work as a mechanic for Caterpillar, and retired after many years as a mechanic for Watkin Shepard Trucking Company. After retirement, Bill worked for Beach Transportation as a bus driver/attendant with many children who loved and admired him as he did them. Bill had a great love for the outdoors, boating, fishing, camping, hunting, snowmobiling, nature and spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends. He is survived by his son Bradley Hall (Shelia) of Lolo, daughter Dawn Hall Peterson (Jon) of Frenchtown, four grandchildren Cassie Hall, Tiffany Hall, Keifer Peterson and Kolby Peterson; brother Bobby Hall of Lolo and very special friend and neighbor Jim Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jeanne Hall, brothers Earl Hall, and Merle Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be sent to Partners Hospice in Home Care. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7 at the West Side Lanes Banquet Room, 1615 Wyoming St. Condolences may be left for the family at www.missoulafuneralhomes.com
