Obituary for Billie Patricia Shiner

Billie Patricia Shiner, Anaconda, MT passed away on February 6, 2016. She was born Billie Patricia Ward to James and Laura Ward on March 10, 1936 in Anaconda, MT where she would spend all of her younger life and graduate from Anaconda High.

She married Rudy W. Shiner on May 5, 1955 and had 2 children. After a few years of marriage they moved to Seeley Lake, MT. She would eventually move back to Anaconda to be near family after the passing of her husband.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and giving them all away as gifts. She was a huge sports fan, especially NASCAR and rodeos.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Ward; her mother, Laura Ward Hilgers; her step-father, William Hilgers; her husband Rudy W. Shiner and her sister, KayMarie Hilgers.

She is survived by her son, Jim Shiner, Seeley Lake and daughter Jean (Dave) Rieden, Helena. She has 5 grandchildren: Jennifer (Doug Lieb) Rieden, Helena; Rudy Shiner, Helena; Les (Natassia) Shiner, Missoula; Wilson Shiner, Helena and Jerry Shiner, Seeley Lake and 5 great grandchildren, Makayla & Morgan, Helena and Decklan, Cian and Etain, Missoula. She is also survived by her brother Jim Hilgers, Eureka, CA and her daughter-in-law Debra Ekblom, Helena, along with numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and special friends from Anaconda and Seeley Lake.

A celebration of her life will be held at the VFW in Anaconda on March 5, 2016 at 2:00pm.

A celebration of life will be held in Seeley Lake at a later date this spring, where her ashes will be placed.
