Obituary for Betty Jane Ruffner Cashman Pasekoff

Betty Jane Ruffner Cashman Pasekoff passed away at her home at Brookdale/ Hunters Glen in Missoula Montana on Sept. 30, 2015. Betty was born August 3, 1919 in Greenburg, Pennsylvania.

She married Wayne "Doc" Cashman on November 11, 1938 then later married Harold Pasekoff in July of 1969

Betty is survived by her children;
Son Wayne (Ann) Cashman II of Tucson, Arizona & Superior, Montana
Son in law Charles Greco of Altoona, Pennsylvania.
Daughter Cathy Westley of Altoona, Pennsylvania
Adoptive sons at heart Bill (Jane) Dibert of Cheney, Washington, Dave (Rosie) Dibert of Altoona, Pennsylvania & Paul Dibert of Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Betty had seven grandchildren: Jennifer (Ralph) Taylor of Missoula, Wayne (Tammy) Cashman III of Casa Grande Arizona, John (Georgie) Claycomb of Spokane, Washington and Tania (Dick) Urquhart of Great Falls, Montana, David (Carol) Westley of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, Christopher Westley of Altoona, Pennsylvania. Mark (Cheleena) Dibert of Columbia, South Carolina.

Betty had 20 Great Grandchildren; Ian (Jane) & Gabriella & Ava Taylor , Lacey (Toby) & Kyler McCracken, Bethany Taylor, Kera ( Matt) & Gracie Halloway, Wayne (Cortney) Cashman IV & Joaquin & Kia Cashman, Lauralie, John, Ryland & Evan Crane, Dylan, Ashley & Leon Claycomb. Audrey, Rachel & Ben Westley.

Betty spent most of her life in Altoona, Pennsylvania. She owned and operated My Fair Lady Beauty Salon with three of her best girlfriends. Once retired, she was very active in the 1st Presbyterian Church on Broad Avenue, singing in the choir and serving as a deacon. As well as volunteering at the Presbyterian Home. She had wonderful neighbors Steve & Nelda Hazelett & Patty Marx that she adored and shared much of her life with until her illness moved her west.

Betty will be most remembered by being a second Mom or Grandma Betty to so many children. She never met a kid she didn't love! Her sassiness, direct talk, wonderful sense of humor and her love of music and her faith defined her life!

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Mary Ruffner, Brothers Bobby & Jim Ruffner and Sister Irene Ruffner. Her beloved husband Wayne "Doc" Cashman and 2nd husband Harold Pasekoff. Son in law, John Westley and most recently daughter Susan Greco who passed this spring.

There will be no public service as Betty wishes to have her ashes returned to Altoona, Pennsylvania. The family appreciates all of the caregivers at Hunters Glen, Aging services & Hospice for loving Betty and the family throughout this journey. The family will celebrate her life in a memorial service at a later point in time.
