Obituary for Betty Murlene Erickson

Don't cry, mom has gone home & is with dad!
Betty Murlene Erickson, 67, passed away on June 2, 2013 at St. Patrick Hospital of natural causes.
Betty was born in Hamilton, Mt on Aug. 22, 1945 to Kenneth E. and Julia H. (Herbst) Roberts. On Sept. 18 1982 she married Larry Lee Erickson.
She liked crocheting, camping and gardening. She also enjoyed being with family and friends for BBQ's or sitting around telling stories. Mom always had a smile for everyone and welcomed them with open arms.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, her mom and dad, sisters; Hazel Ponton and Helen Lippencott, brother, Kenneth Roberts, and son, Stephen E. Matthew.
She is survived by her children; Jeffery Shoemaker, Audrey Matthew, Brenda Matthew, Barbara (Art) Hancock, and Jami (Jamey) Spaulding, brothers; Elden (Judy) Roberts, Lyle Roberts, sister, Sandy Goss, grandchildren; Summer Matthew, Jacob Miller, Glen Lee Patton, Kaitlyn Patton, JR Hancock, Allie Hancock, Sammie Hancock, Selena Spaulding, Lucas Shoemaker, and Victoria Shoemaker and her great grandchildren, Sarah Dumontier and Autumn Matthew as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Graveside service will take place at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Western Montana State Veterans Cemetery in Missoula followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 (Noon) at the Crosspoint Church, 7500 Mullan Road, Missoula. There will also be a Potluck luncheon at the church after the memorial service. Sunset Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
