Arvid G. Galbavy
Arvid George Galbavy, 83, of Missoula, MT passed away peacefully at home on October 18, 2022, with his family by his side.
He was born in Havre, MT on August 7th, 1939, to George and Helen (Sluggett) Galbavy. Arvid was the oldest of nine children. He was drafted into the Army and stationed in Germany.
In April of 1967 he married Kathy Sullivan in Fort Benton, Montana and was married 55 years.
Arvid worked for United Prestress, until the plant closed. He then worked for his brother George, at Galbavy Construction until he retired in 2003.
Arvid was a member of Laborers Union 1686, the American Legion Local 0135, and the Grizzly Athletic Association.
Arvid is survived by his wife Kathy, sons; Rodney of Seattle, Chad (Cindy) of East Helena and Ryan (Angela) of Spokane. His four grandchildren include Rylan, Zae, Heath, and Case. Surviving brothers include Gary, Larry, and Dennis. His sister Joan Gasvoda, Gloria Townsend, and Kay Kay Shankle. His two brothers George Galbavy and Rick Shankle proceed him in death.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday October 23rd, 2022, at 3pm-5pm at Westside Lanes, 1615 Wyoming St, Missoula.
