– Arnold Carl Fehr, 81, of Missoula, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, of natural causes.
Arnie was born in Missoula on Oct. 21, 1932, to Carl and Lydia Fehr.
Arnie attended Franklin and Roosevelt grade schools and went on to graduate with the Missoula County High School class of 1952.
Arnie was a millwright at the Bonner lumber planer department for 40-plus years through the changes from Anaconda, Champion and Stimson until his retirement in 1999.
Arnie was known for his dedication to his family and friends. His stories and conversations captivated everyone whoever had the chance to cross his path.
His love, kindness and hard work brought great respect and admiration from his children and grandchildren who all benefited from his example.
Arnie loved being outdoors hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, traveling and maintaining his beautifully groomed yard.
Arnie was a skilled carpenter, and was willing to share his knowledge and labor with family and friends.
Arnie has gone to join his parents; brother, Raymond; and his sisters, Betty Rhodes Miller and Ella Chaussee.
Arnie is survived by his wife of 42 years, Evelyn Ochsner Reed Fehr; mother -in-law, Hilda Ochsner; sisters, Elsie Kinonen and Shirley Jones; his children, Brian, Karen, Russ and Sandra; his stepchildren, Howard and Tom Reed, Lori Dimmitt Renninger; three generations of grandchildren; and many loved nieces and nephews.
