Arletta Mae Curtiss, 92, of Missoula went to be in the arms of the Lamb of God on Thursday, January 15, 2015.
She was born on September 15, 1922 in Lucas, KS to Lewis and Maggie Berry. She grew up in Hunter, KS where she then attended beauty school and owned her own shop.
Arletta and Dale met in the summer of 1953 and were married a few months later, on November 22, 1953 in Osborne, KS. They then moved to Blue Earth, MN. In 1966, they moved to Montana and in 1985 moved out to the Nine Mile Valley.
She loved growing flowers, raising sheep, and having picnics by the creek with her grandkids. Arletta's greatest joy was her time spent with her children, 15 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale and her granddaughter, Denise.
Survivors include her children and their families: Sheryl and Marc, Tim and Dawn, Jim and Christy, Denette, and David and Angie; grandchildren: Jon, Amanda, Nicole, Justin, Jesse, Jodie, Roper, Moses, Randa, Libbie, Tanner, Trey, Loralei, Hunter, and Justa; great grandchildren: Caroline, Andrew, Caleb, Micah, Shanice, Stacey, Remi, Boe, Zoey, Carter, Jackson, Bodie, Dylan, Emmett, Kaleb, Kaine, Sam, Addi, Rachael, Aubrey, Dyani, Abreona, and Emrey.
A viewing will be held Monday, January 19 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home at 1:00 pm. The memorial service will begin at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Boschmann officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Condolences for the family maybe left at www.missoulafuneralhomes.com
