Antonne Lee Daniels went home to join family Sunday, May 7, 2017. Tony was born to Monte Orland and Dayle Renee Burton Daniels in Hamilton, MT on November 11, 1963. He grew up believing people staged parades and waved flags for his birthday.
Tony was soon joined by his beloved brother Patrick Wayne whom he loved, mentored and protected fiercely and then brother Walter Orland. The family lived in Stevensville, Victor, Missoula and Frenchtown. Tony attended several schools in Missoula, making friends wherever he went. He graduated from Sentinel High School.
Antonne had many jobs in and around Missoula. He was a very hard and honest worker and was valued by his employers. He was happiest when he was gainfully employed and self-sufficient. At times seizures prevented him from working but he continued to find useful ways to keep himself busy.
One of his favorite jobs was working for the Huckelberry Treasures Company, preparing boxes and packaging products. It was there that he met Sonya Isaacson and her daughter Karen. He adopted them into the family. Sonja became his sister and Karen valued him like a father. Tony was a humble man and was honored when he was allowed to pay the huckleberry pickers as they brought in the berries.
He also enjoyed working as a mechanic for Max and Sue McVey. They also became a part of the family. Tony enjoyed driving cars and helping with auctions for Gardner’s Auction and working with Dee Peterson.
Antonne helped raise three of his nieces, Amanda Lynn (Victor) Castro of Frenchtown, Sherylynn Renee (Brandon) Arnold of Condon and Melinda Jean Cornelius of Missoula all of which survive him. They affectionately called him “Unker “and worshipped the ground he walked on. He was very proud of two grandnieces he had grown very close to, Jade Lee Arnold and Pearlanne Renee Castro.
Tony loved everyone no matter who they were or what they did. He loved all insects and animals. He forgave readily as a child except when folks were cruel to animals. He lived his entire life for others. He was loved and will be missed by each and every person he touched and blessed. His family values each day they were blessed to spend with him.
Tony is preceded in death by his mother Dayle Renee, brother Richard Edwin-Lee Cornelius both formerly of Missoula and his grandparents; Verla Olson and Perry Austen Daniels formerly of Helena, Margaret Bucko and Vernon Burton formerly of Stevensville.
Tony is survived by his father Monte, step-mother Lindasue, siblings; Patrick Wayne, Walter Orland (Chelsea) and their son Morgan, Heidi Rae (Will) Mc Arthur of Arizona, Edward Don (Amanda) Cornelius of Alaska, Jonna Jean Daniels of Frenchtown, Joseph Lynn-William (Athena) Cornelius of Idaho and Peter Erastus (Ariel) Cornelius of Missoula. Tony is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and grandnieces.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 19th at 10am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Frenchtown.
