Obituary for Anthony S. Shoupe

Anthony Samuel Shoupe, 43, of Missoula, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at his home.

He was born on Feb. 3, 1971, in Hawthorne, California, to Jack and Alice (Rosa) Shoupe. "Tony" has been in Montana since 1984. He attended Seeley-Swan High School. He was well loved in both the Missoula and Seeley Lake communities. He enjoyed the outdoor life with family and friends. Tony was known as quite the daredevil, seeking out the thrills of life. Tony was a beloved father to Kyle, Racquel and Blake. They were the center of his life. He never missed a sporting event or program they were involved in. He was a devoted son, especially to his mother after the passing of his father three years ago. Also, Tony was a true friend to everyone he met. He would've given the shirt off his back to anyone, and his infectious smile could light up a room. His legacy will live on in the lives of his brave and beautiful children.

Tony was preceded in death by his son Kyle (1991), his father Jack Shoupe Sr. and his grandfather Ernesto Meza. He is survived by his fiancée, Sheena Daniels of Missoula; children, Racquel and Blake Shoupe of Florence; mother Alice Shoupe of Missoula/Barstow, California; sister, Elisa Houston (Darrell) of Decatur, Illinois; brother Jack Shoupe (Amber) of Missoula; grandmother Elisa Meza of Barstow; seven nieces and one nephew. Tony is remembered by his 30-plus first cousins who will carry his memory with them forever.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 28, at 1 p.m. at Bonner Elementary School Gymnasium.
