Anthony Douglas Bessette (AKA) Tony, was born on April 21st, 1990 in Missoula, MT to Rebecca Bessette. He passed away unexpectedly on January 20th, 2025, in Butte, MT. He was 34 years old.
Anthony currently was working in the carpentry field in Dillon, MT and helping on weekends with his uncle Doug, doing drywall. Anthony never finished high school but went on to the Job Corps to get his GED and learn a trade. He became a father in 2014 to a beautiful girl named Persayus Rose who was the light of his life. Anthony fought a lot of demons in his life, but was four years sober at the time of his passing, we were all proud. Anthony got sober with the love of his life and fiance, Kaitlyn Reilmann, they had a little boy named Elijah Paul on February 8th, 2024. Anthony worked hard for his family, was an amazing father, and had a beautiful soul. He would do anything for anyone, especially his grandma Leah, they were like peas and carrots. His talks with his daughter on video chat were priceless, and he was learning to fly fish with Kaitlyn and Grandpa Paul. Anthony was a jack of all trades, had a smile that was contagious and loved to joke around. I do believe that the 4th of July was one of his favorite holidays. Anthony loved life sober, his kids and family. He will be truly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Anthony is preceded in death by his aunt Kathleen Bessette, cousin Brenda Schmitz, his Grandpa John D. Bessette Jr. As well as many grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, there are just too many to list.
Anthony is Survived by his mother Rebecca Bessette, his grandmother Leah Bessette, Uncle Doug Bessette, his fiance Kaitlyn and their son Elijah, and her extended family. He is also survived by his brother Ian, many cousins, aunts and uncles, and his daughter who resides in Tennessee with her foster family. Anthony’s best friend Jerry, residing in Kalispell, is also left to cherish his memory.
