Annie Yenne

February 8, 1937 — March 27, 2024

Annie Arabelle Yenne passed away peacefully surrounded by family at The Springs in Missoula, on the evening of March 27, 2024.  Annie Arabelle (Brown) Yenne was born on February 8th, 1937, in Groves, Texas, the oldest of 7 children born to Cecil (Benny) Boyd Brown and Grace Lena (Hoke) Brown.

Annie moved to Montana in 1971 with her husband, daughter and two sons finally settling in the Bitterroot in 1973 where she would live out most of the rest of her life.

Annie married the man that called her his sweetie, Harry Yenne on November 25, 1983, thus gaining 2 more sons.

Annie was a hard-working woman who worked as a secretary, bank teller and finally for the Bitterroot RC&D even going back and having to retire for a second time.  For decades she and Harry lived on their ranch up Willow Creek Road in Corvallis.   Here grandchildren and great-grandchildren played in the rocks, and family and friends came to fish in the pond or sit on the deck to watch the birds and enjoy the beautiful garden that Annie created.  She loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, doing Crossword Puzzles and painting; something that was a natural gift for her.  The thing she loved and cherished most though, was her time with friends and especially her family.  Her hands would clasp together, and her face would absolutely light up when someone she loved walked in the room.  She cherished those close to her and will be missed by them dearly.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband Harry Yenne, her parents Cecil (Benny) Boyd Brown and Grace (Hoke) Brown, a brother Cecil (Boyd) Brown, and sons David Yenne and Daniel Yenne.  She is survived by 3 sisters Carolyn Clark, Dorothy Thomson, and Marie Arrington, 2 brothers Johnny Brown and Wayne Brown, a daughter Deborah Furtney, 2 sons Randy Maxwell (Coral) and Michael Maxwell (Shannon), 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren along with numerous other family members and friends.
