Obituary for Annie Marie Magee

– Annie Marie Magee, 82, passed away at the Hillside Health Care Center on December 5, 2013. Born in Towner, ND, she was the daughter of the late Theresa and George Thomas, Sr.
A long time resident of Missoula, Annie was loved by the customers she served at her various workplaces which included Super Cream, Bugs BBQ, 4B's, Frontier Drive-in and the Double Front, to name a few. Prior to retiring from Rosauers, she was made honorary sergeant by the local National Guard unit because of her exceptional customer service.
Annie was especially close to her late mother, Theresa, and it was often said that they were more like sisters than mother and daughter. Annie was a great animal lover. Someone once commented that she spoiled her animals. To that she replied, "If you can't spoil them, you shouldn't have them." During her later years, she rescued a baby squirrel and tended it with loving care until it was well enough to be released. She also loved to garden and especially loved her flowers. Annie's quick humor and spunk will be missed by all who knew her.
Annie was preceded in death by parents, Theresa and George Thomas, Sr.; her husband, Thomas E. Magee, Sr.; her son, Richard and her sister, Pauline Miller. She is survived by her sons, Thomas E. Magee, Jr. (Joann) of Florence, James Magee and Allan Magee of Missoula; granddaughter, Lee Anne Magee of Missoula, step-grandaughters Sarah Pridy (Colin) of British Colombia, Ashley Morrison (David) of Scotland and grandsons, Nicholas Magee (Trisha) of Spokane, John Magee and Brandon Magee (both of Missoula), step-grandson Thomas Knowles (Louise) of Nova Scotia, two great grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, three sisters, four brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Orchard Homes, 2537 3rd St. W., Missoula, MT on Wednesday, December 18 at 5:00 p.m. with a reception following. Pastor Russ Smith will officiate.
Internment will take place at a later date.
Annie's sons would like to thank the nurses and CNA's at Hillside Health Care Center and Barb Miller for the care of their mother during the past couple of years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local animal shelter or charity of your choice.
