Our beautiful, treasured mother Annette Notti passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at the Deer Lodge Medical Center.
Born in 1944 in Montgomery, Alabama, as a child her family moved to Superior. After high school, she lived in various towns throughout the state before settling in Missoula. There she attained her higher education in administrative studies in order to have a career as an administrative assistant in one of the local high schools. After many years of hard work and an entrepreneurial spirit, she was able to achieve self-employment in educating and caring for children, a passion held closely to her heart.
Annette had a strong belief in the foundation of family, a tradition that was passed down to her children and grandkids. She also was a voracious reader, encouraging those that knew her to be the same way.
Other passions of Annette's include taking her children and grandchildren to the library, teaching those who were willing to learn the art of gardening and learning new educational concepts that she applied towards her day care.
Known for her ease of conversation with total strangers, some may be surprised to learn of her extreme shyness. Even when encountered with hardships, she always managed to carry a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life, she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many. Annette had a cheerful, luminous nature. She was the living embodiment of the common saying, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say nothing at all." She was a firm believer of not casting any judgment on anyone and always helping those in need.
She is survived by her longtime companion, Roy; her five children, Gregory, Nina, Thomas, Jacob and Lexton; six grandchildren; and seven brothers and sisters.
Private services will be held in Superior on Wednesday, Aug. 19. Garden City Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. You may write to annettenotti@yahoo.com to offer the family a condolence or share a memory of Annette.
We love you, Mom. May you rest in peace.
