Obituary for Angela Christine Sharp

"Goodbye? Oh no, please. Can't we just go back to page one and start all over again?"- Winnie the Pooh

Angela Christine Sharp, 20, of Missoula and Dillon was taken from us in a tragic accident, July 16th, 2015. She was born June 19th, 1995, in Missoula to Lori (Hollensteiner) Cornish and Chris Sharp. From that moment on, she shined like the blond of her hair.
She attended Hellgate Elementary from K-8, and still has friends from those days. She went to Big Sky High, graduating in 2013. While there, she became involved in cheerleading and lived at the school almost as much as at home. Angela struggled with school, reading and math. She discovered her love of reading with the Twilight books and decided before H.S. was over, she was going to become a teacher to "help kids like me who have a hard time." Ange started at the University of MT-Western in September of 2013. She joined the cheerleading club and was over-the-moon for this coming year because "we are finally recognized as a real sport!" and got a scholarship for being involved as well.
She was blessed to have so much extended family and was literally fought over at holiday time. She had many adventures in her time with us. Road trips across the US to attend Camp Twin Creeks with her mom in West Virginia for 4 summers. They made lifelong friends and memories and she was able to see much of the country that many never do. She learned to swim and starred in camp plays. She spent the summers of age 8-11 with amazing experiences and would count the days until she could return. She wanted to be a counselor now that she is older, but "didn't want to leave her family."
Family. Angela and her mom had a one-of-a-kind bond. Many have told them over the years they hope to have that kind of relationship with their own daughters. They travelled not only to WV, but Chicago, the Olympic peninsula, Seattle, Phoenix, San Francisco, and to Disneyland with her aunts. She was the kid that everyone remembers in the background of all their memories. Up to the day she passed away, there were "I love you" messages and texts from her. "I love you, Mama llama, Mama Bear."
Angela and her dad. Her dad added the amazing outdoors to her life and tried to drag her kicking and screaming into being "outdoorsy". It didn't quite ever take, but they went camping and fishing and spent a lot of time with his family. Her senior year, she decided to "run a marathon" for her project. This became a 5K by the time all was said and done, and Chris was by her side for the whole process. She had his big blue eyes and they were very close and always making each other laugh. He would visit her in Dillon to cheer her on at games. "I love you, Daddy-eo".
Angela was blessed to have so many people that loved her. She had a step mom since the age of 3. Angel and her family added love, support, and holiday fun. Angela became a big sister to Ashton in 2007. She recently said, "We need to stop wrestling because he's getting stronger than me!" She was an amazing big sister and so good with kids of all ages. They gravitated toward her. She loved her Grandma Sue "to the moon," had a great bond with Grandma Carol, and spent many of her happiest weeks in summer time with her Aunt Alice and Uncle Roy.
After 12 years, Angela and her mom allowed another into their circle and she gained a stepdad in Kevin. The two of them butted heads as only a teenage stepdaughter and her stepfather can..."whatever, Kevbutt!" With Kevin came more aunts, more uncles, and by last count, another 12 cousins. Everyone agreed on one thing: her absolute, unconditional love for her little sister Amelia who she was with from the second she was born. Ange and "Yaya" were like two peas in a pod. Three weeks ago, they were singing "Uptown Funk" and shaking their butts around the house. Colin came along right before Christmas 2013 and she was so upset she missed his birth. We often joked about how we got to raise one boy "right" and she wasn't going to let him get away with anything!
She was like the 4th musketeer to Lori and her sisters, "Aunt Lis" and "Aunt Shell". They did everything together and as she got older, it was a pleasure to glimpse the woman she would become. She was a role model to her cousins, Alex and Charli, and often the only one they would talk to about "those embarrassing things." "Bappy" Chuck and Grandma Donna had a very special relationship with Ange. They ran interference while her mom attended nursing school, overnights, homework, taking her to school, picking her up. She was like a 4th child to them.
She was loved by so many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, co-workers; to list them all would be impossible. Her friends from Missoula, growing up, jobs at Splash MT, & Mackenzie River. Her Dillon crew, the cheer girls, her coworkers and residents of Renaissance Assisted Living, her Mom's family and friends, her Dad's family and friends, Angel's family and friends, Kevin's family and friends.
We cannot forget Logan Brown. They met in Dillon and were two of a kind: tall, big eyes, & goofy as can be. She saw him at orientation and referred to him as "hot orange hat boy." She was so blessed to know love from such a great guy at such a young age. He also did not have much luck making Angela "outdoorsy." They have a turtle together, Edgar.
Glitter, pink, bows, cheerleading, poms, dancing, snickerdoodle bagels, cheese fries, lodgepoles, smoothies, berries of all kinds, broccoli cheese rice, that stupid blue car, IPods, texting, Facebook, Netflix, mac and cheese, dino nuggets, flip flops, sunglasses, a scarf for every occasion, painting nails & toes, moose everything, soft blankets and socks, Starbucks, cute jeans, inspirational quotes, fro-yo, selfies, big smile, big blue eyes, long eyelashes, instagram, pinterest, hair that changed color every month, waxing "my man brows". That was our Angela. Angubee, Angu, Angie.
She was preceded in death by Kennith the cat. She is survived by her mother Lori (Kevin), her father Chris (Angel), her siblings Ashton, Amelia, and Colin. Aunt Lisa, Uncle Dan, Alex and Charli. Aunt Shell, Sophia and Lil. Aunt Amy, Uncle Robbie, Uncle Ben (Heather, Kaitlyn and Emerson), Grandmas Sue, Donna, Carol, Vicki and Vickie, Grandpas Chuck, Doug, Mike, and John. Great Aunts Alice and Alice and Uncle Roy. Many, family, cousins, aunts, uncles, and so many great friends. Logan Brown, Edgar the turtle, and Abbey the dog. How lucky are we to have that girl waiting for us on the other side?
The devastation is real. "I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."

We will have her life celebration on Sunday, July 26th, at 1 pm at Silver Park Pavilion near Osprey Field. Bring chairs, food for a potluck, and wear your flip flops. Reception will follow.
