Obituary for Amanda Schwinn Bailey

Amanda Schwinn Bailey Corette, 45, of Missoula, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015. She was born on July 28, 1970, in Mobile, Alabama, to mother, Deborah Schwinn Bailey, and father, Edward B. Bailey. She spent her childhood with her parents and brother, Bradley Jr., in Mobile. Amanda loved spending her summers in DuBois, Wyoming, at Blue Holes, their family ranch. She was a tennis star in high school and was the first American female to be awarded a scholarship to the University of South Alabama for tennis. She received her culinary degree from Kirkland Community College and spent her professional life as a chef. She moved to Montana over 15 years ago and was captured by the beauty of the Garden City and all of its outdoor activities.

On April 9, 2006, she married William Pauly Corette Jr. in Missoula. The couple has two beautiful boys, William Pauly Corette III and Bailey West Corette. Her greatest joy in life was raising her children. She was a wonderful mother.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially in the outdoors. She was a great tennis player and snowboarder, and loved hiking, swimming, and riding bikes with her boys, family and friends. Music always filled her heart with great happiness. She was a captivating person who people loved to be around.

Survivors include her two sons and their father, her parents, her brother and numerous other cherished relatives and friends.

She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend who brightened many lives.

The memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 1 p.m. at Garden City Funeral Home.
